The movement pathway of the grainy blue logo slowly moving across a screen is the foundation of this creative process. The hypnotic procession of the logo tricks the brain into imagining multiple animations on the screen, thus having multiple dancers showcase a hyper-focused stimulus. From an aerial view, the dancers navigate the space in a trigonometric manner, satisfying the brain’s desire to recognize patterns. The dancers move with a contemporary personality, performing athleticism inside minimalist form. With nods to the dancers’ classical training, the movement lends itself to maintaining airiness and grounded foot patterns. Like the DVD logo, the three dancers move inside their angular containment with unrelenting force.
